What: ACT’s fourth annual 5K, The Gobbler. Runners and walkers welcome! All money raised will benefit ACT’s scholarship for international service-learning named after late ASU student, Leigh Lane Edwards (read more by clicking the “About” tab). The second organization that The Gobbler will be benefiting is Hunger and Health Coalition.
When: The race was held at 8:00am on November 15, 2014. Once the race was completed, runners wiped away their sweat away and enjoyed fresh, warm cobbler on Duck Pond Field!
Where: The Gobbler began and ended at Duck Pond Field on Stadium Drive, on the campus of Appalachian State University in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina. The Gobbler partnered with Blue Mountain Revival Services to help make this event a success. Each participant was equipped with a disposable timing chip which will provided real-time, accurate data to runners.
